The Best of 2015 on SethOberst.com

SethOberst.com saw considerable growth in 2015 despite the entire country of Paraguay's insistence on not reading my articles. To put a bow on this year's content, here's a quick summary of the goings-ons.

Here are the Top Articles based on traffic in 2015.
  1. The Resting Tone of the Nervous System
  2. Behavior and Anatomy
  3. Neuroception and the Hierarchy of Needs
  4. Addressing High-Tension Movement Strategies
  5. Using Pendulation to Change Movement Patterns
  6. Habits, Conditioning, and the Plastic Paradox
  7. Maps, Predictions, and Behavior
I was fortunate to do a YouTube video discussion with the stellar Dave Tilley, which you can watch here:
This year also gave me the opportunity to write for Kate Galliett's excellent website Fit for Real Life, so be sure to check out my post on Movement and Stress: What's the Connection?.

In March I started the Recommended Readings Page which has been an excellent resource for those interested in the same topics as myself. So please contact me with any books you've read that you feel belong on this list as I will be sure to read them.

In that regard, here are the Top Books I read this year:
  • The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma
  • The Polyvagal Theory
  • The Brain's Way of Healing
  • Body and Mature Behavior
  • Subliminal: How Your Unconscious Mind Rules Your Behavior
  • The Power of Now
  • Why Zebras Don't Get Ulcers

And finally, I relocated to Atlanta, GA this fall and am working with clients at One on One Physical Therapy. Contact me here to setup a consult.

Thanks to all the readers of SethOberst.com in 2015! Your following is what makes this endeavor worth it and I can't wait to see what's in store for 2016.

This is about changing the way we perceive the world and ourselves. By knowing ourselves as accurately as possible we move more efficiently, connect with people more deeply, and live more balanced - a regulated life.

"To know reality you cannot stand outside it and define it; you must enter into it, be it, and feel it." Alan Watts
